Check up on our Subteams!

Programming

Programming is currently designing our robot’s autonomous code, which will occur within the first 15 seconds of the game. They are also working on tuning our robot better so that each component of the robot is as functional as it can be.

Electrical

Electrical will work on cleaning up some of the wiring for our next competition and better protecting wires to keep them safe from danger in case of an emergency. They are also replacing the cable tracks that carried wires up to the top of the elevator.

Mechanical

Mechanical will be focusing on strengthening our robot’s elevator and cutting weight. They are also redesigning our end-game climber and the supports that hold up our elevator.

Competition Highlights!

Our first competition was a blast! After arrival and setup, our first day went fine, with several enjoyable highlights, including having some very competitive matches, meeting other teams, eating out with teammates, and having fun back at the hotel.

On Day 2, we had a very high-scoring game, and we hope to fine-tune our robot so that most games can work like that. The name of the game is consistency, so we need to work on making sure our robot can always perform at a high level.

Finally, on Day 3, we enjoyed a period of moderate success, but unfortunately, were not selected for an alliance. However, with an additional 4 weeks to fine-tune our robot, we believe that we can preform much better at the Minneapolis Regional in April!

Congratulations to Lucas from Team 2052 for getting the high score in this year’s video game (Outline in Volume 2 of the Newsletter)!
